Insider secrets to GRE Practice
Questions
Concern for the future is one of the reasons why some people
would think that graduating from college would not be enough.
Competition for high paying jobs is so great so that it has
become a norm to take additional training after college
graduation. Graduate studies will place additional titles in a
person’s name. These titles would be an advantage over other
normal college graduates when it comes to landing high
paying jobs. GRE high scores is a graduate school admission
requirement. Graduate Record Examination though is considered by
most college graduates to be a kind of examination that is hard
to crack. GRE is not the kind of examination that can be taken
anytime the student would want to. A lot of preparations would
be necessary to garner the most coveted high scores from this
graduate school admission requirement. Anyone wanting to pass
GRE has to answer a lot of GRE practice questions.
Are GRE practice questions really necessary? It
depends…on whether the person is serious with the goal of being
admitted to a good graduate school or not. People fortunate to
have high IQs may not think it necessary to prepare for the exam
thus devoting time and effort to GRE practice questions
may be redundant. GRE’s goal is to test the student’s analytical
ability and to gauge the knowledge level gleaned from the
education he/she has received so far. Expectedly, GRE questions
will include critical thinking, quantitative reasoning and
verbal reasoning. The student’s analytical writing skills will
be tested as well. GRE preparation course is therefore
necessary.
The preparation course includes GRE practice tests where the
student is made to answer GRE practice questions. In the
analytical writing skill section, the student will be made to
analyze and write about a practice question. 30 multiple choice
practice questions will have to be answered in the verbal
reasoning section. In the quantitative reasoning section, the
student has to crack 28 practice questions. The numbers as well
as the structure of the practice questions are pretty much the
same as the actual GRE. Some of the practice questions were even
taken from retired GREs.
How will these drills help a student to get high GRE scores?
Practice makes perfect. In the case of GRE constantly answering
practice questions may not mean a perfect score but it will
certainly give the student a good chance to have high scores.
Answering questions in the practice test will help the student
track his progress because the scores will show the weak points.
More emphasis will then be given to the sections where the
scores are low. As mentioned, the practice questions were
patterned after the real GRE. GRE is timed and lack of time is
one of the common reasons why students would get low scores.
Time management is another advantage students would get by
answering GRE practice questions.
